In the afternoon of 22 April 2025, Nikkei Asia's Manila Bureau sent Staff Writer Ramon Royandoyan to interview PAGASA Executive Director Steven T. Cua regarding the food retail landscape and how Hard Discount Stores may act as disruptors in the industry. Interview was carried out at Dean & Delucca Coffee Shop in Quezon City.

Member Prince Retail Group opens Store #73 at Resort Town of Siargao in the province of Dinagat Island on 15 April 2025. Prince has grown by leaps and bounds during the last decade. The 73 stores exclude the smaller format called Go Mart Express which Prince founder and PAGASA Board Director Robert Go's Team also operates.

PAGASA was a participant at the 2025 edition of the Philippine Food Expo held at the World Trade Center. PAGASA was provided a booth to highlights its activities to the public. This Event covered three days from 4-6 April 2025.

On 3 April 2025, PAGASA was invited to join a webinar organized by the U.S.-based National Retail Federation. NRF President & CEO, Matthew Shay (center) engages the Chairman & CEO of BJ's Wholesale Club, Bob Eddy & Sarah Wells of Well's Bag Line. BJ's Wholesale Club operates 215 outlets in the East Coast which sells food & non-food items exclusively to Club Members only. It has ramped up sales on fresh produce during the last few years than just operating a warehouse club. Add'l. services like curbside pick-up, online shopping, pick-up in store & even deliveries has helped improve its sales. It is courting the Gen Z customers.

On 28 March 2025, PAGASA was represented at the General Membership Meeting of the Philippine Retailers Association by its Executive Director Steven T. Cua. Held at the Marco Polo Hotel in Ortigas CBD, top economist of the Bank of Philippine Islands Mr. Emilio "Jun" S. Neri gave his two-cents worth regarding U.S. President Trumps recent retaliatory tariffs and how they may affect our exports, bank rates and economy as a whole.

On 28 March 2025, PAGASA was sent several tickets to World Food Exposition (WOFEX) Drinks & Bakes, a new trade show launched in 2025. Tickets were courtesy of the Office of His Excellency the Ambassador of the Federative Republic of Brazil.

Organized by the Thai Trade Center of Manila (TTCM) in cooperation with a Thai events organizer as well as its local counterpart> Global Link MP, the Affair started on 27 March 2025 with Welcome Remarks by both the Minister (Commercial) Counsellor Ms. Sutinee Vathana & the Chargè d'Affaires (acting Ambassador) of the Royal Thai Embassy Mr. Rangsant Srimangkorn. Ms. Vathana works with the Dept.of Int'l. Trade Promotion under Thailand's Ministry of Commerce.

Now close to eighty outlets by 16 March 2025, the Prince Retail Group announces that it plans to hit one hundred stores by 2030.

On 13 March 2025, PAGASA Director Dustin Uy (San Roque Supermarket) and his better half Claiza attended Retail Asia Summit 2025 held at Makati Shangrila. He said the main point of most speakers is for organizations to incorporate physical engagement with digital channels including (Phygital Revolution) to best meet evolving needs of current consumers.

In the afternoon of 11 March 2025 at UCC Santolan Town Plaza, PAGASA Exec. Dir. STC and Board Dir. Raymond Obcena met with Derek Lau and Joanna Wong of Informa Markets HK. Derek handles Customer Success both for HK and Singapore. They are promoting HOFEX HK this coming May while their company also handles FHA Singapore this coming April. The two from HK were trying to come up with a creative offer to make it enticing for PAGASA to send a delegation to their upcoming trade show in HK.
